G iven the circumstances of the day, January 2025, and the state of federal funding being based on whims of fancy, it seems now more ever is the time for cities to seriously consider how to become financially free and independent while still growing needed services for growing populations and aging infrastructure. I am not talking about taxes or bonds either. Those are not going to win the day in these times. It has to be a radical shift. I dreamed up some thoughts about this posted below.
